I have had AVS4YOU for a number of years. It has always been a terrific investment with very little downside. I recently re-activated the software after having to reinstall windows for an unrelated reason.
My computer is a custom rig that I commonly run game like BF3, Shogun 2, ME3 on ultra settings with or without fraps recording, both the GPU and CPU are overclocked and rarely hit over 80 degrees C. I just started using AVS video converter for the fraps videos and within a minute I got a system warning that I just passed 90 degrees C. I quickly opened task manager and lowered its priority and set it to use only 4 of the 8 cpu core in my i7 and ran all my fans at max. It stabilized to 80-85 degrees C. Why is AVS all of a sudden rocketing my temp up? On my older comps this was never an issue.
Any thoughts?
