Hi there,

does anybody have a working 1080p profile for the new iPad3? I tried several settings, but the video is always croppy.
I already searched this forum without success.

Thank you in advance,
Christian

Hello Christian,

At the moment you can use only iPad HD profile with 1280x720 resolution in AVS Video Converter:
http://onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter/Features/Converting/ConvertingforDevice/apple.aspx

But you can change the resolution manually using Advanced window.

Thanks for this. What is the maximum that we can set where we don't sacrifice the quality?

Hello Eugenie,

thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it doesn't works in my case.

For any reason, all 1080p Videos converted by AVS Video Converter cannot be played on my IPad3. The audio is fine, but I see some green picture only with some flickering rectangles.
I tried the tool DVDFAB, it comes with an iPad 1080p profile which works fine and without any issues. I used the DVDFAB profile video settings in the AVS Video Converter but that doesn't helps. This is very strange for me, because on my lokal windows PC, both HD videos are played correctly, but the AVS ones on iPad never.

I also tried to use the default AVS iPad HD Profile by increasing the resolution only (from 720p to 1080p), also the same result.

I attached a picture of how the AVS 1080p videos are displayed in on my iPad3. BTW: videos converted by AVS to 720p are displayed correctly.

Thank you again,
Christian

Hi Lex,

thank you for your post. I got the same result with your settings, a green picture instead of the converted video. Have you uploaded your test file to an iPad 3? I tried several video sources without any success. I assume that the AVS encoder is not compatible with the new iPad. I used a third converter which produces playable 1080p videos but AVS not. I think I will open an support ticket now.

Best regards
Christian
