Here is my computer setup:

2x Xeon E5620
48 gig of DDR3 ram
EVGA Classified SR2 motherboard
LSI MegaRAID SAS 9280-8e
4 OCZ Vertex 3 SSD drive in RAID 10
Nvidia Quaddro 2000

I'm editing videos with AVS Editor and I'm experiencing some strong lag in the video preview.
I've tried adding 7 layers of videos without adding any effects and the software becomes laggy after just 4 videos.
I'm using .mts files that are around 500 mb to 1 gb.
I've tested the software in a DELL XPS L702x with xvid videos and the software is working well even with 10 layers of videos.
So, my question is, is there a compatibility problem related to this hardware setup that is known ?
Else, is there a software configuration that I can do so that everything works ?

If I look at my task manager my CPU is at 6% use and my ram never gets higher than 3.67 gig.
The software is using around 650 mb and if I activate of deactivate the cache settings it does'nt add or remove anything in the computer RAM.
I've come to think that the software is using the video card RAM so I'm going to try to replace the Quaddro with a standard Geforce to see is the problem comes from the Quaddro driver.

My laptop is using Nvidia Optimus hybrid video card technology and it's working fine so I assume that a standard Nvidia video card would work.
Else, if this is not working I'm out of ideas. I tested everything on the computer and everything works as expected. Drive performance is awesome at around 700 mb of write / sec and if I use Adobe Premiere I can make put as much video layers as I want without having any lag.
So either it's a software problem or there's something I'm missing.

If anyone have an idea let me know.

Thanx !

Hi there. Do you have any update on this? I have this same issue 2 days ago and wasn't been able to fix it yet.

Hello,

Please try disabling Nvidia driver in Device Manager.

For it click right mouse button on My Computer and open Properties, find Device Manager and run it.

In Device Manager follow Video Adapters>Nvidia. Disable it via context menu.

Then try running AVS Video Converter.

Please inform about the results.

Best regards.
