Is there something to know about converting word files with the quotes and apostrophes native to Word?

I can't get ePub conversions to avoid garbage characters for a phrase with the common apostrophes (').

The conversion into epub gives me faulty characters for the apostrophes plus some HTML stuff inserted when read in Nook or other ePub readers. This happens if I convert .PRC files or any of the Word 2010 doc files like RTF.

I've discovered the problem is confined to the Nook Reader for Desktops. All the other ebook readers I've tried do not give me a problem.

So I'm sending a paragraph that is problematic. When you convert it to epub, try it in your Nook.

My test of the Nook Color display (the actual ereader) does not reproduce the problem like the downloaded Nook for local computers.

Nice find. This should be enough to have this issue investigated.

Hello,

Please note, the way to view the epub file depends on a viewer.

Best regards.
