Howdy Folks,

Video is not displaying properly (except as a jitter when the window is dragged around the desktop).

Running a 64bit desktop with NVIDIA GeForce 7025/NVIDIA nForce 630a

Display is AOC 2016W (set at 1600 x 1024.

When opening the multi-trim or trim dialog, the display shows black.

(although, if I drag the entire dialog window around, I get flashes of the video as it plays).

The original video does play in VLC and Windows Media, but not the AVS media player.

Let me know what I can do to fix this?

Hello,

Please make sure you use the latest version of AVS Video Editor 6.1:
http://download.avs4you.net/distributives/AVSVideoEditor.exe

Please provide additional information:
- specify the format of the file you are trying to edit and its origin
- specify whether the issue takes place with another formats
- import the same file into AVS Video Converter, open the Edit tab and try to apply the Trim option, inform us about the result

Best regards.

Downloaded and ran the install. No change in the problem.

In the imported media view, the first screen image shows, but when selected does not play in the media player (or the AVS Media Player). Cannot display in the "trim" or "multi-trim" dialog. When I run the file in the media player (on the right side of the GUI), and drag the AVS VIdeo Editor window around the screen (by the title bar), it shows flashes of the video as it progresses.

I imported the video (8 minutes) my Canon DV Camera.
File is

Length 8 min, 4 sec
Frame width 720
Frame height 480
Data rate 3058 kbps
Total bitrate 3186 kbits
Frame rate 29 frames/second
Audio Bit rate 128 kbps
Channels 2 (stereo)

FIle type MPG
184 MB

When I run the AVS Video Converter, and click the "Edit" button, I can play the video in the dialog box and even do a trim.

ON the Video Editor, when I put the video on the Video Overlay line, the video appears (although in a smallar box inside the main

I get the same action within VIdeo Editor regardless of video type (avi, flv, etc.

I even disabled the NVIDIA card, and it still would not play in the Video Editor.

(sigh)

I also downloaded the Windows 7 video codecs and installed them.

Can this problem be based on the NVIDIA drivers?

Running a 64bit desktop with NVIDIA GeForce 7025/NVIDIA nForce 630a video card

Display is AOC 2016W (set at 1600 x 1024)

What SHOULD the settings be in order to run (or is there another NVIDIA download)

FYI, the reason I upgraded the driver was because (on occasion), I would open an imported media file to edit and the screen would be blank. However, upon repeated closing and opening, the file would eventually display after which I could do my editing.

I'm going to download this 210 MB driver file and install it (to see if that does work).

Found the solution. I downloaded NVIDIA's drivers for the card, but only installed the display drivers. Three other apps were included. During the installation, those were unselected.

I suspect that the other apps interfered with the display selections and options.

If you download the NVIDIA drivers (often 100MB - 210MB, if only the display drivers are installed, it seems to resolve the display problem.

Thanks,
Allan
