I just converted an m4v video over to wmv but there is no audio on the playback. Any advice?

Make sure you use the latest version of AVS Video Converter 8.1:
http://download.avs4you.net/distributives/AVSVideoConverter.exe

Please provide more information:
- specify the origin of the file you are trying to convert
- specify which presets you select for conversion
- specify what player you use to play the video back
- specify whether the audio is absent in the preview window of the software
