If I ask to convert any pixel-sized video to DVD, the size opions are greyed out, and I am stuck with 620x480. Is there a way to get around this?

Thanks

Nick

Hello,

Please note, AVS4YOU software is not able to improve the video quality. The advanced settings for conversion to DVD or to Blu-Ray are dissabled. As these parameters correspond to default settings of hard players.

Best regards.

AH. Thanks, OK. I am not sure though. Bit embarassing. I just DGAs and you are right.

So then guess my question is then, why does a DVD ( or a vob file on disc) play ok in my playback software (VLC media player, widows media player) etc , but I can only see a file that has been _converted_ to vob at the smaller size? If use DVD copy to create a vob file on disc, that plays fine at full screen, even if I chop it up in the Video Editor. But if I take, say, a mov file and convert to DVD, it only shows small. The original video was 1920*1080. My screen is also 1920*1080.

Thanks

Nick

Hello,

The fact is that the original resolution is 1920*1080 while the maximum resoultion of DVD is 720*480. So, after the conversion the output file will be smaller.

Best regards.

REALOldNick cannot log in at the moment so I am in as OldNickToo.

It's not the file size that bothers me. It's the fact that it cannot be displayed full screen when it comes from the Converter. The Editor can also output as a DVD file (vob) and those ones are much bigger in viewing on screen

I have attached screen shots of the dvd file from the Video Editor, and one from the Converter.

I just need to add that the one from the Converter never get bigger. That's the best I can get. The one from the editor will fill the entire screen if I place the Windows Media Viewer into total full screen mode.

Please import mov file into AVS Video Converter, select convert to DVD, than make a screenshot of the Advnaced settings and send it to us.
