I am using Windows 7 on my laptop and I'm unable to uninstall the Video Converter. The message keeps telling me that I have other AVS software running so I cannot uninstall the Video Converter. I'm using the uninstall feature on the Control Panel. I've tried to install the Audio Converter but I am unable to do so because of this problem.

Hello,

It may be that you minimized AVS Video Converter and it went to system tray. Check tray icons in windows taskbar. Also check Processes in Task Manager, if there is any AVS processe, stop it.

Regards.

Hi. Try to look for processes running under task manager, kill it and try to reinstall it.:)

Good day,
Have three AVS programs installed. All have an unins.exe, but none seems to have the necessary unins000.dat. What's the trick to uninstall a program properly? Doing it manually might result in re-install (a new version of the Audio Editor in my case) problems.
An advice will be appreciated.

(Too late) I realized that AVS has its own uninstall system (in Win start menu).
Problem solved.
