I currently have the new version of Video Converter, 8.1.2.510 on my computer. I've used this new version twice already, w/out any mishaps (converting & burning). But in time I always get the same problem: the preview window in the Edit feature goes black, & all I have is sound, so it becomes very frustrating to do any editing, because I can't SEE anything! Usually when this happens, I have to try to do a "search & find" using the "next scene" & "next frame" buttons, which takes FOREVER to do. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Hello,

Preview speed depends on your hardware, input file properties and output settings you select.

Could you please attach a screenshot of Advanced>Conversion Options, so that we could see conversion parameters?

Also, please specify your PC configuration - Operating System, CPU, Ram.

Best regards.

Hello,

Thank you for the details.

You computer meets only minimum system requirements for our software. I would advise you to select lower quality DVD profile for output, for example DVD Standard Play or DVD Long Play in the Profile list. Also, how many flv files do you convert at once? What is their total size? Do they play normally in video player software on your computer?

Best regards.

Hello,

I use Standard or Long Play when I'm converting videos. I usually convert enough videos to fill out a 2 hr. or more DVD (the max being about 4 hours). The total size I'm not quite sure about. And, yes, the videos play back normally on the vidoe software I have on my computer.

Hello,

Do you have this problem only working with FLV files or with files of other formats, such as avi, mpeg, wmv? If only with flv, we need one of your files to test the problem.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards.

Thank you for the file attached. We have tested it and AVS Video Converter previewed it properly the file.

The reason for the problem seems to be in your computer configuration which is not powerfull enough. I would recommend you to increase RAM, also try updating drivers for your video card downloading them from manufacturer website, perhaps it will be helpful.

Regards.
