My VOB file originally recorded as a 4:3 aspect ratio.
I find that I can correct the squeezed problem by reconverting the file in AVS Video Converter into VOB again and manually setting the ratio for 4:3 in the Advanced settings. HOWEVER, when I do that, the converted picture seems to lose resolution and become more grainy--with more digital artifacts.
More questions:
In order to retain picture resolution, is it better to convert to VOB, MPG, FLV or perhaps AVI? Should I use single or multi-thread conversion? Should I convert BEFORE or AFTER editing in AVS Video Editor? Because when I create my finished product in AVS Video Editor, I have it convert back into VOB files for DVD burning.
Thank you for your time and trouble.
