There's something wrong with Video Editor. Why do I think that? Because:

I had started and saved a new project, imported a file into it in a new folder, having deleted older redundant folders. The imported file was a large .ts, which I had manually started caching. During the caching process the programme crashed and had to be closed. I don't know why it crashed - it hasn't done so before during caching. I reopened the existing project - the one I had just created - but what do I find? The old folders I had deleted and not the new one I had created.

When a project is saved, why, after a crash, doesn't it open up the way it was when you last saved it?

I say again, there is something wrong with Video Editor.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the project was not saved before crashing, therefore it opened the old one (the last saved). You can set to save project automaticaly at certain time period in AVS Video Editor>Settings>General>Enable Autosave.

Best regards.

I'm sorry Vlad - you're wrong. I have tried with a new project. I SAVED the project (having deleted old, redundant project media folders first) before attempting to produce from the new project.

Because of the problem I'm having (see other recent post), VE crashed. When I re-opened VE and chose the new project, the OLD folders were present, but not the NEW one. This is simply a bug with VE - not anything to do with how I'm operating it.

Please recognise that and fix the problem. Denying that there is a bug gets us nowhere.

See attached annotated screenshot.

James,

Yes, we have repeated the problem. If the program crashes the last saved project can be opened and and all edits will be saved, but Media Library changes are not saved. In the current version, Media Library saves only if program was closed correctly. It is not actually the bug.

Best regards.
