I purchased an unlimited subscription on 8/27 and tried to do a conversion from flv to wmv on a HD file and the system locked me out of doing anything else including bringing up the TM to check on cpu usage. I had to reboot. I tried using msconfig in diagnostic mode to see if there were conflicts and at least I was able to move the cursor a little. I submitted a support request on 8/27 and have not heard back, so I thought it might be better to work through this forum. How do I get the performance up to an acceptable level? I have other conversion programs that convert these files just fine and allow me to do other work at the same time but I wanted the extra functionality of AVS.
Now One problem I may have is the PC I am using, it is an alternate PC just for videos, clips, etc. I am running Windows XP pro on it with 1.5 GB of memory and 2.0 ghz single core processor. I have another MB that I pulled from my main PC when upgrading to Windows 7, can I install that into this PC without getting into a License problem? It will have 3.0 ghz single core processor and up to 4 GB memory. Not sure if that will solve the problem or if there is still another problem I have to check out first.
