I have a Blue Ray burner on my computer, but I do not have a Blu-Ray player hooked to my TV

I am trying to create a BR disc with a menu
my files are MTS files and I have them on the timeline
do I first need to convert them and then burn them to BR disc for player to recognize them

or will these MTS files with a menu burned onto a BR disk l play in a BR player

I have always had to convert my files to MPEG -2 for DVD
not quite sure how BR works

When you save video to Blu-ray disc in AVS Video Editor, it will be converted to blu-ray format. Please find the details in our help manuals.
