Hello,

In other words, AVS Video Converter freezes and crashes when you use nvidia card on your laptop and works well when you switch to intel hd card. Is it so?

That is strange as our software do not use graphic processor for conversion. To solve the problem, try updating or reinstalling drivers for you geforce card.

If it does not solve the issue, please specify the format of the files you are trying to convert and the model of your laptop.

Best regards.

Yes it is true.
my geforce card driver is actually an older version because the newer version cannot support the game that i play but other converters do not crash

I am mainly trying to convert MKV files into mp4 files for ipod touch andi also tried to use other formats like avi but they do not work either
My laptop is a Dell XPS 17"

Firstly, I'm asking you to disable Intel Media codec in AVS Video Converter>Settings>Processing>Codecs>Intel Media>Disabled in drop down list. (in AVS Video Editor it will be top menu Edit>Settings>Processing>Codecs>Disabled). After doing this you should restart the program and try converting (producing) video once again. Please inform about the results.

If it does not help, please open Task Manager>Processes tab. Note if AVS Video Converter_host.exe process is running when the program crashes, make a screenshot of Task Manager>Processes. Also, please attach a screenshot of the program when it freezes/crashes.

As for too fast video playback, please try reinstalling video card drivers.

I also have this problem. AVS Video Converter and AVS Media Player will freeze and shut down with an useless Windows "Non responding" message as soon as I try to load any video or music file (not just few, all of them). I disable the Nvidia video driver and everything works fine.

Brand new, fresh install of everything, up to date drivers Dell XPS 15 Win7x64 with Nvidia 525M video card.

Do something, it is realy annoying.

Regards,

For the Video Converter, .mkv .avi .mp4 .mov and any other type ov video file. I dont even have time to select the output format, it freeze as soon as the selection window is closed. For the Media Player, all format of file, .mp3 .mkv .mov .mp4 etc... Same thing, it freeze as soon as the file is selected.

Please follow the directory C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX and find AVSImageStudio3.dll. Which version does it have?

Hello,

Have you tried updating drivers for Nvidia card? Please download and install them from manufacturer website.
