Firstly, I'm asking you to disable Intel Media codec in AVS Video Converter>Settings>Processing>Codecs>Intel Media>Disabled in drop down list. (in AVS Video Editor it will be top menu Edit>Settings>Processing>Codecs>Disabled). After doing this you should restart the program and try converting (producing) video once again. Please inform about the results.
If it does not help, please open Task Manager>Processes tab. Note if AVS Video Converter_host.exe process is running when the program crashes, make a screenshot of Task Manager>Processes. Also, please attach a screenshot of the program when it freezes/crashes.

As for too fast video playback, please try reinstalling video card drivers.
