I am currently uninstalling and reinstalling entire suite.

I am unable to run any of the media player utilities.

Video converter seems to be working fine converting citrix wmv to flv
I then need to split shows apart and am unable to edit in remaker.

Cannot FLV files be played by AVS Media Player? Please make sure that you have the latest version 4.1.4.77 AVS Media Player.

Perhaps, something has been corrupted in all programs structure.

I would recommend you full re-install cleaning registry entries. Please follow the instructions here.

Followed instructions accept I downloaded converter media player and remaker not knowing that the video player included the converter.

I had installed the converter already, which has no issues converting,

I did not reinstall converter from Media Player,

I have not installed Re maker yet.

Media Player launches and attempts to open test.flv file. Loads to 100% and then hangs.
Again the AVS4YOU splash screen is never shown.

Delete playlist, Close media player and open again. The AVS4YOU splash screen again does not display

Open new folder of flv files load file to 100% and hangs

Will try to uninstall with a reboot

Reboot did not help
Also destroyed directories under applications for documents and settings since this is an XP machine.

Still no splash screen on launch of Media Player.

drag and drop flv file just hangs after 100% load

That's very strange... Do other video files of other video formats play in AVS Media Player? Just it is the issue only with FLV files?

NO nothing is playing.
The key is that the splash screen (flying avs4you logo) does not play when the app opens.
I have tried to launch with and to load StartFile.avi (splash screen). I get no controls at all.

Is there a possibility on license key contention?
The app was first installed on my workhorse, when I determined that most of the work could be done offline on the recoding computer I installed the software there. converter works without incident. But at times we will record 2 or 3 shows and i need to remake the flv.

I have since had to reinstall on the development desktop (windows 7 64) until I can get the media player working again.

The problem is not in the license. It seems compatibility issue... Which video card does your recording computer have? Try updating its drivers. Also, please check display settings and make sure there is 32 bit color quality adjusted for your display.

Regards.
