1) Using Video convertor, my input is bluray ISO file (about 40GB, 2 hours concert) and output is AVI (Archos profile). Conversion took about 6 hours to complete successfully. The question is, is this normal?

2) My setup:
- Intel DP35DP motherboard
- C2Q 6600 processor
- RAID0 2xHDDs
- 4GB RAM
- Windows 7 32 bits

2) Would be good to hear your experience (time taken) to convert bluray media to any profile.

Thanks.

Should say that 6 hours is quite normal time to convert 40 gb video. Try selecting highest priority for conversion in Settings>Processing>Threads option, it will help to boost conversion speed.

Hi Vlad,
I only managed to convert bluray to avi 2 times only out of 6 or 7 attempts.

First successful one took more than 13 hours (source from bluray drive)
Second successful one took about 6 hours (source from ISO)

Other unsuccessful ones stop converting after about 30% mark. And the source are the same ones from the above. I don't know what's wrong. At one time, video converter ate up all my RAM (3.5GB) and "freezed". I have to stop this conversion as remaining time was increasing linearly.

I don't know what to say because i am using the same saved profile that works with the second successful conversion to convert the same and other bluray disc/ISO but the result is 80% failure.

What must i do to get 100% successful conversion every time i click "Convert Now" button?

Regards
Len

Hi Len,

In some cases blu-ray discs may be scretched, etc. That is why we recommend converting files from hard drive. As far as I can see you have iso images from blu-ray on hard drive... Thus you can converter faster and without freezing.

Regards.
