I wonder if there is an unwritten limit to how much you're able to import of media to the Video Editor? - Or rather how much is "safe" to import in order to avoid system errors?
Right now I'm working on a production which until now includes 400 GB of media files.
As it is, I meet with 15 minutes of "Caching.." every time I launch the program - I also experience occasionally stutter on medium preview settings.

Would it perhaps be a good idea to make several sub productions and then join them afterwards?

Regards, Morten

Actually, there is no special limit, however, it depends on your computer configuration - Ram, video card, free space you on HDD. You can check free space for temp directories in Edit>Settings>Environment option, there you can also disable caching or set it permanent to avoid temporary caching everytime.

I hope it helps.

Regards.
