For two days now everyone I try to convert a video, it takes awhile for the file to open in the converter and then to start converting, and then when it does, after a while it closes on it's done or it just finishes converting too soon, at first I thought it was because my laptop had too many programs on it, so I took a few off but it still playing up, any help?

Please, specify the model of your laptop (or config and operating system)
Specify the settings of the conversion.
Do you have latest version installed?
Do you get any error message?

I've gotten AVS 7 and it's still taking a while to open, not sure what it's like converting yet, I'll get back to you on that when the file finally opens in it

The time dependson the size, format and source of the video you are wokring on.
It also depends on your OS and PC configuration.
Atach a screenshot of your PC configuration:
right-click My Computer, choose Properties, make a screenshot of the General tab.

Type: Local Disk
File System: NTFS

Used space: 31,309,901,824 bytes 29.1 GB
Free space: 28,693,479,424 bytes 26.7 GB

Ok, but while working with hd videos or long projects, I'd recommend to use machines with enough system resources ( Over 2 Gb Ram Core Duo or Quad CPU)
