Hi,

Is there somewhere an overview which conversions support CPU multi-threading?
In other words which conversions are preferred if you have an AMD Phenom X6 1090T and want to use the full CPU potential?

For instance conversions from VOB to DivX are about real-time with all 6-cores running at 100% (3.6GHz).
But when converting m2ts to MKV/AVI (h.264) the estimation says it will take forever (+8hr) and I don't see all cores -at least the first 15 minutes- going up to 100%.

Anyway any advise is appreciated, as long as the conversion results in a DXVA supported 1080p format.

Cheers,
rONALD

Correction: this converts 5 times faster then real-time !

Hello Ronald,

Good question...

When converting HD videos, CPU usage and speed is not high compared to SD video files conversion in order to provide better stability of the program (avoid crashes, errors, etc.)

Best regards.
