When I convert my movie from .M4V to .FLV they are borderless. But after I pull the movie into the editor they have these black borders. Anyway to get a full movie height without the borders?

Hello,

It seems that your movie has 16:9 aspect ratio, but there is 4:3 aspect selected for the project in AVS Video Editor, please correct aspect ratio in AVS Video Editor.

If your movie has non-standard resolution, please set custom aspect, the same as resolution of your video.

Best regards.

Hi,

Im having the same problem. Though when I put in the exact aspect ratio from the original video it still adds black borders after producing. In the preview before producing the video is fine. Any ideas?

Hello,

What is the resolution of your source video? What format you save your video to and what resolution do you select?

Regards.

I recorded a video on my sony nex5 digital camera in 1440x1080 MP4.
When I view the movie on windows media player there is no black border at all.
I import the movie into AVS video editor and do some cuttings. At the end of the editing I can see the movie is still 1440x1080 when I see its property in the editor itself.
I then decide to "produce" the movie by selecting the DIVX codec and selecting in the AVS windows a custom resolution of 1440x1080 (same as the original file).
Once the process is finished and I play it on windows media player, I can see a black bar on top and below the movie, which is not the case with the original one.
Why is that?

Hello,

It is aspect ratio issue. Try selecting 16:9 aspect ratio for your project or set custom 1440x1080. You can find the details how to adjust aspect ratio in AVS Video Editor following this link.

I hope it helps.

Regards.
