Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I did a search and couldn't find my specific problem. A few weeks ago, I was using the trial version of Video Converter to convert .mov files to .flv files and it was working great! Today, however, I upgraded to the paid version and now when I do a conversion, the finished FLV plays audio but no video (only a black screen). I tried three separate flv players and the same results with all. Any ideas?

Hello,

Could you please specify which profile with output settings you select when convert to FLV, as well as which media players you use to play resulted files?

Best regards.

I should add that on Riva, there was just sound with a white screen with their logo. On the other two it was just sound with a blank, black screen.

Thank you for the answers.

Could you please specify the origin of your MOV files which you convert?

Also, please open one of mov files in AVS Video Converter and try previewing it in Edit option. Does it play with video?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

I don't know much about the original files. They came to me from a client who I know uses a mac to edit the video before sending it off to me.

And yes, I can view the video when previewing in Edit option :)

I am having the same problem and have just submitted a support request.
It seems to only happen with bigger video files that are being converted to any FLV profile. When converting to swf it contains the picture - but all flv profiles only contain audio and a black screen.
My original video is 915MB big, recorded with a Kodak Playsport camera 720p, 60 fps and plays just fine as mov file. Same when converting to swf - but need flv file. Hope this helps in analyzing the problem.
Any help would be highly appreciated!

Forogt to add: When trying to play with AVS Media player it comes up woth loading the video 1...100% and then this keeps repeating itselft 1..100% 1.100% but video never starts playing. When uploading to my website and playing with flv pro player, I can hear the adio, but only get a black picture. Hope this helps - contact me for more questions. Thanks!

Hello,

First of all please the latest version of AVS Video Converter. It can be downloaded here.

If it does not solve the issue, we need your source mov file to test it. Please upload it to our ftp-server, the instructions will be given to you in our support system.

Best regards.

I am using 6.3.2.370 - is this the most current version? Also uploading my original mov file to the ftp server currently (almost 1GB).
Just downloaded and installed the new version (7.0.3.543) My custom profile is lost though and there are now new options. The good news: The conversion worked! I did run the update check yesterday (from Navigator) and it came up with 2 updates, but not with the one for the converter. How can I check all the programs for an update? Thanks for your help!
