I am using AVS VideoConverter 6 and when I convert a DVD to MPEG (that has been ripped to HDD by 1ClickDVD) I end up with a file that is exactly double the film. The size is obviously double as well. The films are are identical with the copy immediately following the first 'instance' of the DVD. Any ideas?

Please use only one VIDEO_TS.IFO file (from your DVD disk - VIDEO TS folder) as input (not the whole DVD folder).
You can find the detailed instructions on how to convert DVD video
here
.
