I've installed the latest version of Video Converter (which I've always thought is one of the best programmes in the AVS suite), and after converting VOR files to VOB files, there is distortion in the VOB audio.

This has never happened before, and it is very noticeable.

Any ideas ?

Hello,

Possible solution for the problem will be provided to you in our support system. Please try it.

If it does not solve your issue, we need your VRO file to analyze and reproduce the problem. Please upload it to our ftp-server, the instructions will be provided to you in our support system as well.

Regards.

Thanks for your very quick response to my problem.

I have copied the .dll files into the folder you specified, repaired AVS programmes, and tried the conversion again.

But the problem is still there - distortion of the audio, especially in louder, higher frequency music.

I've uploaded the file James_Thomson.zip to the FTP root directory on your server.

Thanks for your help.

Hello James,

We are deeply sorry for the delay in reply.

To avoid the problem with the .VRO file please try to do the following: unzip the files in the attachment and save them to your hard drive:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX

Please replace the existing .dlls with the new ones.

Then follow Start - All programs - AVS4YOU - Repair and try to convert your file once again.

Inform about the result.

Best regards

Followed your instructions and all now seems to be well.

I tried a conversion from the VRO with a 10dB audio boost, and the result was excellent - no distortion.

well done and thanks!
