Is there a way to edit the video transitions? Suppose I want the LAST segment of the video to fade out... How would I do this? I can ONLY insert video transitions in between two segments. Also, doing so sacrifices part of THAT particular video segment.

I know even in Movie Maker it is possible to insert transitions without it interfering with any footage. How do you do this on AVS video editor?

one way ive read here is to add black color media at the end of the movie (in the storyboard mode) then put a transition like fade inbetween the two. AVS say theis is a workaround and they will put this in onnext update

I briefly played around with it trying to find a work around. I'll try your suggestion. I am glad to know it's being worked on! (: THANK YOU.

If anyone has other suggestions, that's cool too.

Hello,

Please make sure that you add a transition correctly, see the instructions given here.

If it does not solve your issue, please provide some additional information about the problem:

- specify the format of the files you are working with, their origin and size;

- specify your PC configuration (Operating System, CPU, Ram).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards.

i HAVE WORKED OUT THAT YOU CANNOT MIX AVI WITH MPEG.AS FAR AS THE TRANSITIONS GO,SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND OTHERS IT LOCKS UP.IT WILL NOT LET ME OPEN THE"IMPRT" SIGN TO LOAD FURTHER CLIPS.
ALSO IF I TRY T USE THE VOICE,IT LOCKS UP...AND IT DOES NOT ALWAYS OPEN UP THE TRANSITION OPTION OF ADDING TO VIDEO.
SOMETHING IS VERY AMISS HERE.
AT LEATS THE VIDEO CONVERTER WORKS OK.....
CAN YOU MIX TYPES OF VIDEO CLIPS?????
THE FILES I AM USING ARE ONLY SMALL CLIPS MPEG.
OPERATING WINDOWS XP...MD ATHLON(TM)XP1700+...1.47GH....2G RAM...XP SERVICE PACK 3

AVI and MPEG formats can be merged in AVS Video Editor with no problem.

Could you please specify the duration of such mpeg files? What is the exact duration of the clips between which you put a transition and the program locks up?
