Just now I tried to convert same files (m2ts) to DVD and after 27% completed, converter crashed... :(
Yesterday, I convert small file (96mb) to BlueRay..., works fine..., conversion completed successfully!!! When I tried to convert files for full BD (about 20 gig's) - it's fail after 4% completed... So, bigger files - faster crash...Small files works good... but I don't need and don't want to burn BD with 96 mb of video...

Try launching conversion in one-thread mode. Close the program and then use ThreadOne.reg attached to add the appropriate information into the registry. Then try to convert your movies once again.

In order to return back to multi-thread conversion scheme, use ThreadAutoChoise.reg.

Please inform us whether this helps.

Could you attach your PC configuration: follow Start > Settings > Control Panel. Double-click on System and make a screenshot of the window General with your PC configuration.

Also, as soon as the crash occurs, please follow to Task Manager, open Performance tab and make a screenshot.

Hope to hear from you soon

I have been trying to convert a Blu-ray .m2ts file to .mkv I found that I am getting the 'video converter has stopped working message' from windows almost as soon as I start. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but no change. I have also tried converting to .avi .wmv .flv but with similar results. Finally I tried it on my second/media PC and the same thing happens. Both of the systems were overclocked (but stable) so I tried returning them to factory speeds. My main (faster) system returned the same results but my second/media system seems to be working from .m2ts to .mkv.

Could there be some sort of speed limit to this proccess? I will post both of my system specs bellow.

Main System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
i7 920 @ 4.3 Ghz
6 Gb GSkill Perfect Storm 2000 Mhz @ 2055 Mhz
Asus Rampage 2 Extreme
2 x GTX295 Quad SLI
Corsair 1000W PSU
Intel M25 80 Gb
4 X Samsung SpinPoint 1Tb
LG Blu-ray Drive

Media System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
Q8200 @ 3.1 Ghz
2 Gb Crucial Ballistix 1066 Mhz @ 1067 Mhz
Asus P5Q PRO Turbo
Nvidia 9500GT
700W PSU
2 X Samsung SpinPoint 1 Tb
2 x DVDRW Drives

The only thing I can think of causing the porblem is that speed of the conversion which is quite annoying as thats the whole reason I got a fast computer. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

I seem to have the same problem, I'm trying to convert a m2ts file to dvd 21gigs in size and near the end it crashes my system BSOD something about a memory dump in the blue screen or sometimes it just freezes my system to where I have to reboot. All other conversions seem to work fine. I have 12gigs of ram running win7 64bit and an i7 processor. can't seem to figure this out. hope you can help.

There really persist some problems when converting videos to HD presets using AVS Video Converter on Core i7 processors. Sofar such problems can be avoided by launching the conversion process in one thread more (note post #10096). If this solution is not helpful, please attach screenshots of the Advanced > File Information window of the program showing input and output video parameters.

Best regards
