Launch AVS Disc Creator as a user with limited privs and the programs hangs on the disc type selection screen. Launch as an admin and it works fine.

Does AVS Disc Creator require admin privs? If so, why?

It does. This is a principle according to which the program interface addresses to the CD-ROM.
