Hi,
I want to edit an ISO file (FreeDOS, fdbasecd.iso, downloaded from
http://www.freedos.org/freedos/files/
) to add some files to the image.
When I try to open that ISO file, I get an error: "The file system cannot be extracted"
Any hint?
Frank

Hello Frank,
In fact, that it is impossible to edit ISO files, that
are not created
by AVS Disc Creator.

I need to do this exact same thing and I'm also getting this error.
This is now 2 years later from the original post.
I'm using version 4.1.1.473.
Will you guys fix this so that it will work with ANY ISO?
I've already created a support issues for this with no resolution yet.
My system is Win7 (x86) Quad Code, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD

Support has stated that you can only edit ISO files that were created by their software.
Very lame!

We are sorry for the inconveniences, but for now it is possible to edit only the ISO files created with AVS Disk Creator.
But our developers are working on this issue now.
Best regards

I have several ._xvid files which I'm trying to burn onto a DVD but I'm told that they need to be converted to
ISO files first is that correct and, if so how does one do it?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the late response.
_xvid files can be burn to disc with Data Disc function of AVS Disc Creator. Do you use that function?
Best regards.

Hello,
Unfortunately,it is still possible to edit the ISO files created with AVS Disk Creator only. Please make sure you use the latest software version 5.0.4.518:
http://download.avs4you.net/distributives/AVSDiscCreator.exe
If there is an error message please send its screenshot.
Best regards.
