I have a Cannon HF20 which stores the video files in the .mts format. It is possible to edit a bunch of these .mts files in the AVS Video Editor and SAVE them back into the .mts format?

I saw that the .mts file has a bitrate of 23815.362 kbps and the maximum I could get while saving the movie in the AVS Video Editor was 16000 kbps only.

thx

It is possible to edit such files, but there is no option to save to MTS. In case you need to get a high output bitrate, you can try converting to Blu-ray.
