I'm just trying to play a regular DVD from the store. Plays fine in my regular DVD player, but when I try to play it on the computer, I get this message:

The playback does not comply with the acceptable quality to continue watching the video .............

Other DVD's display an "invalid region" box. My region is set to USA.

What's the problem? i'm kinda frustrated with this software - I've got lots of applications, and not one of them works the way they're supposed to!

The version I have is 2.4.144. Now, it seems to be working, but before, it was not. I guess I'll keep using it for now and will report back if I get further errors. I appreciate your response.
