Am new to all this. Is it possible to delete the background audio from a video file and add voice recorded audio. ? I want to add a commentary but the background audio on the original video is too loud so you can't hear the commentary. also keep getting codec message for the audio file does not match, is there aspecific type/format it needs to be in ?. Have both video and audio software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This is possible in AVS Video Editor. After you add video to main video line and background audio to audio mix line, open Volume and Balance window and set zero volume for your video leaving audio at 100.

You must be using AVS Video ReMaker, is this correct? If so, note, in case you import multiple files into this program for editing they must have the same codec parameters, both for video and audio. AVS Video ReMaker allows you to remake videos without reencoding, whereas AVS Video Editor has extended editing opportunities, therefore after changes are applied in AVS Video Editor, in order to save them, the video gets converted.

I am brand new to AVS4You. I wanted to get rid of background sound and found your answer. I am embarrassed to say I don't know how to separate the background audio. My video is placed right but the audio mix is balnk. Help and thank you.

It is impossible to single out background music from audio of main video clip. If there is only video in your project, you can change its volume using Volume and Balance settings or Mute option, if you need it muted.

No, if you use right-click on main video line > Mute option, only volume of your video clip will be muted.

I have a video which already has existing Audio on it, which I don't want to keep.

I would like to add my own audio to this clip.

How do I do this?

Thanks

Hi everybody
I have created a project for my movie, with the main video (including embedded audio track, with dialogs) and three audio tracks, first track with some part of edited voice cleaned from the audio editor, second track with special sounds (background noise, e.g. phone rings, applauses, clicks, rain...), third track with background music.

Before producing the final video, I want to clean each audio track by using the external audio editor. So I like to produce ONLY one audio track at a time, by muting all tracks except the one I like. But the main audio tracks (present in the main video track) always mixes with the track I want.

Is there a way to "export", from my project, only the audio track I need, in a wav file, so I can externally edit and return back to my project after it's cleaned?
That is my plan, "produce" video by saving audio only, not video. By muting the unneeded tracks and produce wanted audio. One for each audio track. Then producing only the main audio track by muting all others. It should be enough.

Any Help? Thanks in advance

PS: I use Video Editor 6.3.3

Dear user,

Unfortunately it is not possible to produce only audio from your project.

The only thing you can do is mute the audio tracks you do not need (inlucluding the one from video line) and produce video with it. To mute the audiot tracks please right click on them - choose Mute.

You can edit the audio track of the video either inside AVS Video Editor:
http://onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Editor/Features/EditingVideos/Audio/AudioEffects/AudioEffects.aspx
or in AVS Audio Editor:

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Kind regards
