I have used video editor many many times... it is a great tool, I am able to extract pieces of a video easily.

however... just all of a sudden, I get an error when I try to get into it. as attached.

so I went and download the latest version, and get the same version...
I am on Windows XP..and the erorr doesnt say much.. so I have no idea what to do..
or why this happened.

any ideas?

thanks Bob

This error must be connected with your system configuration.

Do you get it upon launching all AVS programs or AVS Video Editor only?
Also try launching any other third-party programs installed on your PC. Do you get any errors?

everything else works... including other AVS software, I used dvd creator yesterday... and other 3rd party programs such as slysoft dvd copier.

video editor worked fine.. I have been using it for over a year.....

I use Kaspersky antivirus.

when it stopped working, I de installed video editor, and reinstalled as an attempt to see if it would work.

still does not work.

This is a solely Windows error. A possible solution can be easily found on the Internet, for ex. under this link or here.

Best regards
