Try setting a higher sample rate during conversion, ex. to 48000 Hz, or you can also boost the volume by applying the Amplify effect to your file. This effect is available in AVS Audio Editor.

a 50 k mp3, a 1.25 m wav file and a 105 meg (now that's BIG) had basically the same results.

there mix program steps on my spoken audio script and the red line volume control does not allow me to recover thevolume level. I have examples of this if you want details.

As far as I understand, you are using AVS Music Mix?

rick dorey:
the red line volume control does not allow me to recover thevolume level.

Actually the envelope must allow you to reduce the volume of the background music leaving the other track's volume high. You just need to leave the main track's volume at a higher position and put the red line lower for the background audio track.

If the volume of your audio track is still too low, you can import it first to AVS Audio Editor and apply the Amplify effect.

Please could you attach a screenshot of the program interface showing which way the files have been combined on your part. Also that'd be great if you attached both of the original files used in this project. Please zip them and attach here (if they are less than 10 Mb in size).

Hope to hear from you soon
