Until recently I could press the Edit button on Video Converter before converting a DVD to a WMV file. Now when I press the Edit button Video Convertor Locks up.

Video Converter still converts my DVD to a WMV file fine but I can not edit before I convert.

My DVD's are produced with a JVC SR-DVM600 Professional Recorder.

I have tried it with the same DVD that used to allow me to edit, but it no longer allows me to edit before converting to a WMV file.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but I have still the same problem.

I uninstalled Video Converter 6.2.5.334 and installed 6.3.2.370 and the Edit option still locks up Video converter.

It still converts a chapter from DVD to WMV file just fine.

Hi Steve,

Sorry for delay

Try reinstalling the software completely:

1. Go Start> All Programs> AVS4YOU> Uninstall.

2. Go Start> Run... Print regedit in the opened window and click OK. In the opened Registry Editor window please find and delete all AVS4YOU folders:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU (delete it).
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU (delete it).

3. Go Local Disc (C:) > Program Files > AVS4YOU (delete it).
Go Local Disc (C:) > Program Files > Common Files > AVSMedia (delete it).

Now install the program anew on your PC.

Please write back on the result.
