I understand that none of the AVS tools allow one to correct a video with a time displaced sound channel. Are there any future plans to do this?

Correcting desynchronized files automatically is rather impossible, it can be done only manually. This due to the fact that there two types of desynchronization: the first one results in audio and video not coinciding over the whole video track, the second one is increasing.

The only way to correct such files is to edit the audio track separately (insert silence or stretch the file) and combine it with your video file. This is quite a laborious task and you will have to try various settings before the result needed is achieved.

This fall or earlier a new version of AVS Audio Editor will be released allowing you to import your video tracks into the program in order to edit its audio. After the audio is edited, you will be able to combine the new audio file with your video using new AVS Video ReMaker.

These are the plans for the near future. Hopefully, this function will be useful for most of our users.

I framed the question badly, what I wish to do is manually correct the first situation, ie where there is a constant offset over the whole video track.

Is this / will this be possible?

I have a file that was recorded onto my PC and I want to edit it in Adobe Premire. I have to convert the file because when I play the video in the original format the audio does not match up. When I convert the file into a .wmv file and try to edit it I plays back as small in Premire. Can anyone help me ? Has anyone does this before?
