Dear all,

when trying to create a backup, an error occures. Error message: "Fehler bei der Erstellung des Registerbackups". Means "Error during creation of registry backup". How can I create a registry backup?

Please note the below recommendations:

1. Make sure you have full adiministrative permissions to access Directory for Backups specified in Options.
2. For every backup approx. 30-100 Mb space is required. Make sure there is enough space on your hard disc.
3. In case you are using Vista make sure WMI service is enabled. Right-click on My Computer icon on your desktop and choose Manage. Click Services tab on the left, find Windows Management Instrumentaion on the right, double-click it and check up the Startup type.

In case this does not help, please specify the OS you are using (XP or Vista, 32- or 64-bit) and RAM available on your PC.

Sorry for replying late. The workaround you suggested works fine. After starting WMI service the backup function is working.

I got Backup ERROR too. My OS Win7 64 bit. 2GB RAM and 3GHz Pentium 4
This attachment is done when I push "Scan".
RegistryCleaner I run as administrator.

Our software does not support Windows 7 officially. The program has not been fully tested on this OS yet.

Understand.
I belive you will support this OS(W7 64 bit) in future. I am waiting this support.

I used to get an error message backing up the registry also. It seems like you get the error message if you run the back up after having used the computer for awhile.The VMI service is running on my system.

What I found is though, that if I run the registry back up and fix right after I boot the system and before I run any other applications then the back up works fine.
It seems like something on the system locks out the registry and prevents it from being backed up but running it right after a system boot the registry is not locked out my anything else and it works with no problem.
