First of all video editor will not even SAVE the project to a file to open later.

What is happening exactly? Do you choose File > Save Project as..? The new file must be saved with .vep4 extension. Please describe this problem in detail.

As for saving to video, have you used the files sent to you privatly? If yes, you must have received information about the error. We really need it in order to clear this problem up.

What you can try, is using AVS Slideshow Maker instead, as this program is intended specially for creating slideshows.

I have a question that I sent via email to Support on Sunday (9-26-10). Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from anyone at AVS. Okay, enough complaining. Here's my question:

I've tried again and again to 'produce' the video I've created for our Boy Scout troop using your AVS Video Editor (version 5.1.2.131) and each time I do the program shuts down. The only 'error' message I receive is: Video Editor Has Stopped Working.

I'm using an HP Pavillion computer with 4 GB memory, I have over 260 GB Hard drive space left and my system is 95%+ FREE as it pertains to usage.

I went ahead and uploaded the .vep file of the video I'm trying to 'produce' (CampVid.vep) in both zipped and unzipped formats just in case they needed it to try to recreate the issue I'm having.

The file size is less than 4 Megs. (3.53 mbs to be exact).

- specify the format of your source files for the project, their origin and size;

- specify the format which you produce video to;

- attach a screenshot of your laptop configuration (right click on My Computer>Properties)

Hi, I followed your instructions to the letter and then some (I actually deleted ALL references to AVS on my entire computer) AND I installed ONLY the VideoEditor (rather than the entire suite of products offered).

However, I'm still having the same stuttering issue with the audio when the video changes from picture to picture.

AGAIN, I am submitting the video I've worked on with this email. It is titled: CampVid.vep

You should be able to pull up all the info you need by simply clicking on the video itself. Again, it's very small!

As for the origin on my source files for the pictures, they are standard .jpgs though they are rather large before conversion by your program.

I'd really appreciate any help you could offer so that I can get this video to our Scouts.

Thank you for the files submitted.

However, .vep file is a project file which cannot be opened without your source files.

To avoid stuttering you should add audio track at the end of working on the project. Try doing it and see if the problem persists.

Hello Vlad. I'm using AVS4YOU to open a new project an add or import a file that I recorded on a different program that is with the extension .flv. In that recording I show how an application works on my desktop. I can import the .flv file into the AVS4YOU GUI, and I can drop the video down to the time line too. BUT when I want to play it there is a problem. It starts doing it good but in thge middle of it a message says "Video has stopped working", when I close this message the AVS4YOU closes it too.
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 DUO CPU p7350 @2.00GHz
RAM: 4.00GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System

I don't want to think tha AVS4YOU is not 4ME.

Creating a slideshow (flv) in Video Editor latest version. worked fine first time, then wouldn't create the file at subsequent attempts - see attached pdf for error messages.

When I first got video editor and figured out how to work the program, I really liked it. Now, all of a sudden when I go into the video editor and do trim work on a project I keep getting the message "Video editor has stopped working" and then it closes the program out. What has happen? I was able to make 2 videos and then all of a sudden it stop working. Now all I get is the message, sometimes when I try to save some of the editing I it give me the same message. How can this problem be fix. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it and I am still getting the same message. I hate to think that I spent my money on a program that doesn't work and I can't even use it. Help! Anybody help me to get my program back working.

Hello all, I'm new to this prog but it looks good...however,
After editing a movie together (taking out adds... :) I wanted to export to my ipod for later viewing. The system crashed a number of times.
I uninstalled everything & reloaded & still the same problem.

Running a Sony Vaio laptop with home premium vista. 3 gig Ram, 500 gig HD.

Attached is a screen shot of error.

Anyone got any ideas ??

I'm leaning towards automatic updates interferring but haven't been able to confirm this yet...

Try launching the program on one thread mode: open Task Manager, find AVS Video Editor in Processes, right-click it and choose Set Affinity. In the new window untick one of the CPUs. Then try to save the movie once again.

If this does not help, specify format, origin and size of the files used in your project (right-click one of them in Media Library, open Properties and make a screenshot of this window). Also as soon as the program crashes, follow to Task Manager > Performance and make a screenshot. Attach both screenshots here.

Which file are you trying to import? Could you specify its format. Which error do you get?
