I'm having some technical issues editing some video files that I'm trying to currently edit. Error message: ACM video codec is not installed. Codec name: Microsoft MPEG-4 ?

Please make sure you use the latest version of AVS Video Converter 8.1:
http://download.avs4you.net/distributives/AVSVideoConverter.exe

If the issue remains try to install K-Lite Codec Pack

Try to install the patch attached subject to the previous soultions fail.
1. Save the attached .exe file on your PC.
2. Close all running AVS applications and launch the utility.
3. Follow the instructions given.
4. When the installation is complete new updated software components will be installed on your computer.

This worked for me. I had downloaded the trial version of AVS Video editor and all was fine. Then I had the ( ACM not installed- VP6F codec) message when running the pruchased programme. However I knew it had been worked and that I had cleared the system for the new AVS installs. I reinistalled the K-lite docec pack and it works just fine. The pack is[B] K-Lite_Codec_Pack_880_Mega.exe[/B Its free and easily found. Hope this works for you. I have just seen a post from LEX admin who says the same. will post anyway!

Recently started using this video converter, however seems some files can not be converted due to the following error message: ACM VIDEO CODEC NOT INSTALLED - Codec CUVC

You need to install the mentioned codec to your PC first to be able to convert the file.
Please try to find and install it, inform about the result please.
