The source video is about 150M, self captured.
The problem seems to be solved by disabling caching.
Looks like "Not enough storage" refers to cache space. Default setting (temporary cache) maybe somehow didn't clear the cache and caused this.

Disable cache solves this. It might also forced cache to be cleared as I turned it back on and it is fine....till next time the space ran out.

Would be useful to let the development team aware of this.

Thanks for the details. Your experience is valuable and can be useful for other users.

Have not you tried to set Permanent Cache and see if the problem persists?

I am having the same problem -- intermittently.

Windows XP, SP3
3G RAM
AVS Video Editor v5.2.2.173
160G hard drive with 42G free (27%)

Usually, when I use the Screen Capture of Video Editor, and set up my recording area (around 1278 x 657 pixels), I'll do a recording and when I click Stop, I'll get a small play window, then it will switch to a larger black play window and I'll get a never-ending cascade of Error popups titled "AVS Screen Capture" and the message "Not enough storage is available to process this command." I have to go to Task Manager and kill the AVS Screen Capture application to recover.

I just tried it again and something slightly different happened: I got the small window, then the larger playback window, all black, but no error message (yet). I had to click the Stop button and then click the Play button to actually get the first screen image to appear and then it played through to the end successfully. Then when I clicked Save Video, I got the unending cascade of error messages and had to use Task Manager to close the app (and, obviously, the video was lost).

I have tried specifying a different temp directory on my C: drive, but this has not helped.

I have a Quadro NVS 140M video adapter with the NVIDIA drivers.

I hope there will be a fix for this soon. Per advice in this thread, I have turned off my cache. Of course, this doesn't always work -- I still get the "Not enough storage" error sometimes. As a last desperate resort, I try rebooting which seems to help also (though it's agonizing waiting through numerous reboots).

Now I'm noticing the video/audio sync problem documented in a different thread and I see some people advise using the cache. Oh, brother.

Here's my use case:
I write a script and record an audio track using the Audio Recorder. Then I play it back and click along while Screen Capture is running on a new project (hoping against hope it won't die with the storage problem).

When I'm done, I import the audio mp3 and it's always approximately 110% longer than the video.

So, I have to go to the Audio Editor and speed up the audio (and I end up sounding like I've had too much coffee!). I try different percentages, but 110% seems pretty close usually.

Shouldn't the Video Capture create a video that is, by default, the same duration as it took to record it?

I saw something about changing framerates, but I'm not sure what that means or what to change it to (or why I should have to do that).

Just so you know, I love my AVS programs! If I can wrestle some of the issues to the ground, I know I'm going to love this Video Editor a lot!

Hello,

Sorry for the late response.

To solve the problem please do the following:

1. Reinstall all AVS programs using the instructions here. and install the latest version of AVS Video Editor.

2. As far as I can see you get errors using AVS Screen Capture program or editing it's mfiles. Please apply the paths from this post to AVS Screen Capture and try capturing, editing video files again.

3. Inform us if it has helped.

Regards.

P.S. enabling cache does not help in sync problem. Caching is made for smooth playback of hd videos on preview.

Hello all,

I recently purchased AVS Editor 6.0, I have been having the same problem (Not enough storage is available to process command). After several attempts and several hours of editing this message keeps popping up and I am unable to finish my projects. I get this error when I try to edit the overlay (when I click edit overlay), it will automatically pop up. Attached are my screen shots, I hope you are able to help out. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

To avoid the problem try disabling Show Fader option. For it run reg file from the attached zip archive. Also, would still advise you to disable Caching and see if the problem persists.

Best regards.

I keep getting "Not enough storage" error when using Video Editor and cannot clear it! I have to lose the project work and end task using Window Tast Manager to get rid of the app. It is very frustrating as I have plenty of storage and disk space. I have tried reloading AVS Video Editor and also run the "Repair" function.

Hi!!! I'm from Argentina so please excuse my english. I have a trouble with AVS Video Editor, the popular " 'Not enough storage available to process command". It began with the actualization from my 6.1 version to 7. I want to edit some part and appears that, and when I try to edit in the principal line, It become worst. I try changing the enviroment in the settings, I have much space in my disks to work, I have uninstaled and instaled the previous version, even the 4 version (the 4 version works well, but isn¡t the same the interfaz and have lack of effects. I execute the repair program too, clean the registry with a few programs. I don't know what to do, and I don't want to change for another program because I am familiarized with it. Please answer my question. Thanks!!!
