To: keviny6 Dear user, Conversion is a rather complicated process and it depends on many factors such as size and quality of your input file, its origin and where it is located, which preset and settings you select for convertion, if there are any programs running together with AVS Video Converter, your PC configuration a.o. Under some circumstances it is normal that conversion process takes quite a long period of time. At the beginning of conversion the duration may be detected not correctly you may need to wait for a while. Besides it is possible to change the conversion priority - see the screenshot attached. I have 10 x 50 minute episodes of .avi that I want to play on a standard DVD player ( well, multiple dvd players ).
I am having a number of problems :

The first is that the conversion for each episode is taking longer than the length of the .avi file : around 1 hour 5 minutes average - is this normal ?

I apologize, I have a question, is it possible to use external additions to AСD?

I have purchased a new license and have activated the license. The product was working fine, however all of a sudden there is no video playing in the sample window. The same thing with images all I get is a blank screen.
I have reinstalled software same result.

Have I inadvertently changed a AVS setting. The videos and images are fine when I access my folders. Set up a new project, imported files and same blank result.

i loaded the sample projects, played the video can hear sound but no images or video in sample window.

Can you please advise, this is urgent as I have a project deadline.

I recently purchased AVS Video Converter (based upon a review of top 10 video converters) but am appalled at its speed of conversion. I am currently converting a 600 mb AVI file to MP4 which also includes hard coding subtitles (.srt file) into the video. 1.5 hours have passed and as per the software will need 5 hours more. I did the exact same conversion using other Video Converter and it took a little less than 25 minutes.

The conversion time depends strongly on the input video file parameters, PC configuration, used decoder, resizing quality setting (if applied), used encoder and its settings - used preset/profile.

It's strange, but such a video file (600 MB AVI file to MP4 - HD or Full HD) should have been converted quite quickly - with the correct settings. Maybe it's 4K video?
