I'm working with a compiled set of .wma files that I've pasted together.

When I try to save as .mp3, the result is an .mp3 file with regular intervals of silence. The pattern makes me think I've got the wrong settings (like it is set to take out a chunk from every interval, but I've played with the various settings without an improvement.

I do get a "warning! using non-activated verseion so voice logo will be added." Is this some type of way to keep me from using a test version of AVS Audio Editor 4.2? Is the file too big (70,000 kb) for the mp3?

Or is this a setting issue?

I have a ton of files to do this semester and if this software isn't going to work, then I'm definitely not going to purchase. Been burnt before with these inexpensive products not panning out.

Hope some smart guy is monitoring this board. I'd appreciate suggestions.

That's ok. That is not the file size issue.
