I'm running Vista 32 bit and when I launch Disc Creator it simply hangs. I can 'click' the menu items but the the feature doesn't open when I click it. Additionally, I continually getting the spinning (busy) vista icon when I hover over the application. When I click the '?' menu item the help does open. So it looks like some of the app is functional, while other parts are not.

Hi,

Please make sure that your drives are detected by your PC. Precise the drive model, that you want to use for the conversion.

That may also be cased by the fact, that you use f corrupted disc for the burning.

So, please:
- make sure that drives are detected by the PC
- make sure that the disc you use for the burning is not corrupted and detected by your drive

if the drive is ther and have a assigede letter in the front of it.

Tried burning 14 .avi files to a Memorex DVD+R D/L using AVS Disc Creator. Seemed to work but on attempting to access the DVD afterwords drive just clicked and My Computer showed nothing but Fee Space 0bytes and Total Size 0bytes.
DVD Drive is DVD+-RW ND-6500A. Disc Creator confirms that this drive is compatible with DVD+R 2Layer.

Any ideas anyone?

I have a similar, but even worse problem with my disc creator program. after about 30 seconds of running the program-no matter what i do- it crashes and no longer responds... i've tried reinstalling it but nothing has made n effect on it. i really need to burn my music onto a disk but it wont work!

I hope someone has a solution...

Please, try to repeat the procedure once again, and if the error repeats, please send us log file. You can find it, following:

Please describe your actions step by step. Precise the moment when the program crashes. Is there a disc in the drive at that moment?

I am also having problems with disc creator. When I try to lauch program it opens to first window then will not go any further. If I put the curser over the window it turns into hourglass. I can click on buttons and move to Audio,video...... but can not procede to the actual burner window. I can X out of the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. To include all of MY AVS4U programs. At one point it appeared to be working intill I reinstalled AVS4U video converter. It then went back to the same problem.

First make sure you are using the latest version of AVS Disc Creator (3.5.5.408).
Also make use of the tips given by Dam above in post #3172.

The first time I tried Disc Creator it hung. Have to go to the manger to reboot each time. Never gets Disc Creator to work. Uninstalled all components. Deleted folders and registry. Reinstalled newest version, still no change; stalls, hangs, right after program starts. Need help.

download, unzip and place AVSDiskCreator file to your harddrive folder C:\Program Files\AVS4YOU\AVSDiskCreator replacing the old one.

After replacement, I got a little farther this time. Program did not hang until after I tried to add a file by clicking on the My Videos icon.
