I created a clip (.wmv) in Windows movie maker 2.6 (the latest version that would do what I wanted it to) but when trying to convert it to a different resolution .wmv in VC 9, it got to 92.08% finished and then the program froze (I still can't close it).

Do you know what res to save it in WMM that will work with AVS programs?

Hello, make sure you use the latest version of AVS Video Converter 9.1.3.572. I'd also recommend you to try the following steps:

<1> close all running applications on your PC while converting the file;
<2> disable antivirus application.

If the issue still persists, please specify:

<1> your PC configuration;
<2> attach a screenshot of Advanced >> Conversion Options window after you have added the input file and after you have chosen the profile for conversion;
<3> attach a screenshot of the error message, if any;
<4> whether the issue appears only when converting this particular video file or not.

I'd ask you to continue the correspondence in our Support System.
