I'm currently in discussion with support about the dreaded 65536 error when trying to save a video.

Basically I have a new PC and bought another unlimited license for using the video editor software and now when I try to save a video in any format it fails after only a couple of minutes with a 65536 error.

When I change the encoding setting to single core instead of multithreaded - it works! But it takes longer to encode the video and the playback quality is noticeably worse with slow down in the video output.

I have just built this new PC with a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit and have tried the uninstall and clean procedure which AVS send out as a standard reply.

On my old PC it is working fine with the same video albeit a slightly older version of the video editor software for which I do not have the install file anymore.

Also on my old PC, I came to use it one day and got the 65536 error when trying to save a video so I rolled back to a previous image I had taken of the PC two months ago and then tried the same video and it sailed through so I am wondering if it is some kind of Windows update which is causing this which is why not everyone is experiencing it.

Dear user,

The problem may occur due to the lack of memory necessary for conversion.

Please try to split your project into 2 or 3 parts and create the video once again.

If this does not help please try to follow the recomendations below:
1. Switch off Intel Media Codec (Edit/ Settings/ processing/ Intel Media Codec/ choose disable) and set up single thread conversion (Edit/ Settings/ processing/ put a marker on single thread conversion)
2. Disable Show line groups and Show sound wave form (Edit/ Settings/ Edit/ remove the markers from Disable Show line groups and Show sound wave form)

Please inform about the result.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
