Hi I am new to AVC editor so hope you can help.

When I split a clip I always get a 1/2 to 1 sec lag before it goes to the next clip, when I play the project in the preview. Is this normal?

I have 8 gig RAW, Dual core processor and Win 7

Appreciate any help as this is making it difficult to see how transitions will look in the final edit.

Dear Jason,

Could you try to change the preview window quality and inform if anything changed:
click on the Edit button on the top toolbar of AVS Video Editor - choose Settings - General tab - Preview section: choose "Low (Fastest)" in "Quality" drop down box to get the best processing speed.
Please also uncheck the option "Use original format in media library" - you will get good processsing speed.

Please also specify if you have the same problem with all the files you use in AVS Video Editor and if you have any problems on the output.
