I recently re-installed windows 7 (with reformatting, so it was a fresh re-install). I reinstalled the AVS video converter program via the AVS4you navigator program (I also tried installing it separately) so I should have the latest version (it's showing 8.4). before reinstalling windows, I was able to load blu ray (yes, i own the blu ray's I try/tried) folders from a rip I did with DVDFAB into the AVS converter successfully and convert them. now when I try, the program (AVS converter) just freezes (it was doing that before, but only for a short while, then the program would come back as responsive). the program shows as not responding in the task manager in windows. I have let it sit for at least 10 minutes. trying to find out if there was a change to the program that would cause this. do I need to install anything additional to fix this. are others seeing this as well.

Dear user,

Can you playback your BlueRay on any of your PC players without any problems?

Specify if you can import any other video files of the same and different format into AVS Video Converter?

Try to please repair AVS files:

1. Close all AVS programs and other running applications.
2. Copy the following link to the address bar of My computer window and press <Enter>:

If you run 32bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

If you run 64bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards

I have no issues with other, newer titles (I have tried star trek into darkness and the hobbit extended edition) and neither freeze such as monsters university.I ran the repair application. all showed success. tried to load the Blu ray folder. still freezing (showing as opening file index.bdvm, percentage loading shows about 10-20%, if I am reading the progress bar right).

if you mean what I am trying to convert? nope. can't do that. that would be illegal. I found another program anyway and that worked out perfectly. please close this thread as it is not needed anymore (now I am getting memory error messages with blu ray's so I going to be dropping this software all together because of the continued issues with it).
