I have head the AVS Suite for a few weeks now but have not really started using it until just now. Here is my situation.

Scenario #1 - I want to create a slide show with a few pictures and several quotations with a music background. Something like this: A picture that will not change for say 45 seconds. As this picture is shown, I want to show say 5 different quotes. One quote that will show and then fade away and then another appears, fades, etc. Then a new transition to a new picture and maybe another 5 quotes or whatever.

Scenario #2 is similar except that maybe there are 50 pictures with 50 quotes to appear after 2 seconds and then transition to the next picture.

Any help will be appreciated for either of these situations. Good samples that I could receive by email would be great as well written instructions. If there are any other helpful forums on the web that are specific to the AV Editor, I would also appreciate this as I start learning the programs.

Dear Jan Yoder,

In order to create a slideshow please use AVS Video Editor.

You will need to import the pictures (video) and music needed for the slideshow to the program first:
http://onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Editor/Features/CreatingVideos/ImportingMultimediaFiles.aspx

Then add all the files to the timeline and add text (quotes) to your pictures:

On the editing text window you will be able to select the area of fade in and fade out for your quotes:

To add the transition between the videos please follow the recomendations:

After that produce the video:

I have some images I have imported to the video editor. But when I inset them into the timeline for editing, they do not show on the Project screen.
It is just black. It used to work fine. the image would show in the Project video screen upper right. See screen shot. Ideas?

Dear user,

To avoid the problem please try to do the following press the Edit tab on the top toolbar of AVS Video Editor - choose Settings - go to Preview section - in Video Rendering check the option Use video buffer. Then restart AVS Video Editor and inform about the result.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
