Hi all,

Been a little while as everything has been going well!

I'm running AVS Video Convertor v8.2.1.525 & been having this issue for a little while but when it happens I just use another PC or program!

Once conversions start it runs perfectly & hums along on this PC which is an overclocked Quad Q6600 with 4Gb of ram running win7 enterprise but then sometimes half way through a conversion it pops up with this error; address 004D374A(see attached image) & stops conversion!

I have a feeling it may be to do with unstable over clock but it passes memtest perfectly & prime95 & other programs don't have the issue, just wondering if it could be anything else?

It was doing it from time to time on the old version 8.1 too!

Thanks for your time & effort in advance Grant Weir

Dear Grant Weir ,

Sorry for the delay in reply.

To avoid the problem please try to completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC following the instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download and install the latest version of AVS Video Converter from our website:
http://avs4you.com/download.aspx
Try to use it nd inform about the result.

Best regards.

O.K. I did a search for utility & downloaded the other person's LINK (hope this is o.k.)?

It came up with 3 errors when I did EXACTLY as you said (attached)

I then installed the LATEST 8.3.2.533 & 1.25% in did the same thing but slightly different errors (see attached)

I have a feeling it may be to do with overclock, but seems strange I can use other programs & it doesn't error out!

I can name the other programs if you like, but I think it's against policy!

Dear user,

Please try to do the following: unzip the file in the attachment and run it by double clicking on it.

Then run AVS4YOu software and inform about the result.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards

Thanks Nat,

I'm pretty sure that file won't work as it's on a 64Bit win7 operating system?

It does the same error on all format output types MP4, MKV, M2TS & AVI.

Cheers Grant Weir

Dear Grant Weir,

Thank you for the information.
The application is ok for 64 bit Windows 7 OS.

Do you get the same problem with any files? Where re the file you re trying the convert are located? Try to place them onto your hard drive (e.g. desktop) and convert from there, inform about the result.

If you convert BlueRay video please use INDEX.bdmv as an input file from the BDMV folder. Inform about the result.

Try to repair AVS files:

1. Close all AVS programs and other running applications.
2. Copy the following link to the address bar of My computer window and press <Enter>:
If you run 64bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Thank you for the information.

Kind regards

Thanks Nat,

Just ran the VCredist.exe & then did the repair & installed 100% of the DLL's & no errors!

I then restarted the PC & started a bluray via the INDEX.bdmv & got to 5% then failed! (exact same error)

Which is further than it's ever got before, so maybe means we're getting somewhere?

B.T.W. yeah it had the exact same error with ALL the different output formats I tried!

Thanks Grant Weir

Dear Grant Weir,

There might be a problem in our software, to analyse it we need your source file.

If it is not possible to send us the whole Blueray video, please send one .m2ts file (the shortest once), but make sure it does contain video (not data).

I will send you the instructions on how to upload the file to our FTP sever via AVS Support System. Please use your e-mail and forum password to log in.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
