Hi. I have been using AVS Video ReMaker for years. Lately I have begun noticing a problem that I never noticed before. I am editing hi-def (960, 30 fps) video from a Go Pro Hero 2 camera. When I push the go-left-to-next-key-frame or the go-right-to-next-key-frame button, normally the editor moves about .02 seconds in the specified direction. Sometimes though, after making a split, the editor suddenly switches into a mode where those same buttons cause the editor to move about 2 seconds in the specified direction. This makes fine-scale editing impossible. Today I noticed after making a split, that the editor would still move in the finer steps (about .02 seconds) in all the footage right of the split, but would only move in coarser steps (about 2 seconds) in all the footage left of the split.

I was previously using an older version of Video Remaker but today I uploaded to the very latest version, 4.1.3.149, and the problem continues.

Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

Thanks very much.

Hi-- I posted this yesterday, but it seems to have vanished, so I will post again today.

Very strange, I see my post on the main page that shows all the topics, as long as my post is the last post to that topic. But I click the topic heading to go into that topic, and my post does not show up in the list of posts on that topic.

PS it continues to be the case that I can't see ANY of my recent posts on the topic header page http://forum.avs4you.com/topics.aspx?lng=ENG&f=49, even though they do appear on the "all the topics" page http://forum.avs4you.com/default.aspx?lng=ENG, as long the post is the last post to the topic. What is up with that? Are the AVS4You forums simply broken? Is it permanent?

Ok, thanks, now on to my real question:

Hi all. I have some new information on the problem I've been posting about. I am editing a video right now. This time I am editing from left to right, not right to left as per my usual practice. I have made several splits but no cuts or anything else, just the splits. I have noticed that all the footage to LEFT of the LAST and RIGHTMOST split, is subject to the problem. Shifting left or right to the next key frame via the buttons on the editor, produces a large jump of about 2 seconds. All the footage to the RIGHT of the LAST and RIGHTMOST split, is NOT subject to the problem. shifting left or right to the next key frame via the buttons on the editor, produces a very small jump of about .02 seconds.

It's remotely possible that this pattern has been going on the entire time I have been using AV Video Remaker with the hi-def GoPro footage. I find it a bit hard to believe, but it's possible. Anyway, it's certainly what is happening tonight.

1) Is this normal or to be expected?

2) Is there a fix?

Thanks very much

Dear Steve,

Sorry for the delay in reply.

Your post is not stuck, that is why it is shown on the forum after the stuck messages.

Concerning the seach using the key frames, please note that key frames are different on different files, if you are editing animated cartoons or static video, there are very little key frames in them and the time between the key frames is several seconds (or more).

Try to import some film with lots of action into AVS Video Remaker and use the key frame buttons - you will see the differentce.

Please let me know if I can be of any furthe assistance to you.

Kind regards
