Ok so i downloaded avs video editor about a week ago...i started making a video and realized the effects werent working nor the transistions...so i thought maybe it was because it was the non activated version...So my dad did some homework and ended up paying 60$ for the activation key so i activated it....Now when i go to use the effects it works OUTSIDE of the video....For example i clicked the pencil sketch option to play for my video and this is a screen shot of what it did...Can anybody tell me why this is happening...I familiar with 4.0 and how to use it and it worked now i have the upgraded version everything is acting funny...please help.

Well for some reason the actual screenshot didnt come up smh just imagine everything outside of the video having an effect almost like a malfunction or something.

Dear Matt,

Sorry for the delay in reply.
Matt Perpignani:

You are right, you need to use the main video line to be able to apply effects to your video, but you used video overlay timeline.

Please block the audio line before adding video track to the timeline - use the lock sighn - see the screenshot attached.

Please let em know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
