Ok, I'm new to the forums. Please don't flay me if this ? has been asked before. I looked around and couldn't find my answer. Here goes: I currently have an older version of the software. I can update it to the new version, but I'm also in the middle of editing a video. IF I update the software, will that make my saved project file unable to be completed on the new updated software version?

Sorry if this seems a dumb question, but with programs I've used in the past, I've updated and then have had to start the project all over again b/c they weren't compatible any longer. Thanks!

Dear user,

If you save your project before updating the software you will not loose it.

If you use AVS Video Editor you will also need to use the Export Media Library option to reserve and then Import the media library back to the updated version of the software - please see the screenhsot attached.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
